2020 VW Atlas - Tourmaline Blue Metallic
Project Overview
This deep Tourmaline Blue Volkswagen Atlas came into 417 Detailing (Maui) for an exterior detail, light paint enhancement, and a Jade Ceramic Coating install. The goal: brighten the metallic flake, remove wash marring, and add long-term protection against Maui’s sun and salt air.
Decontamination & Prep
- Citrus foam pre-soak and hand wash
- Wheel, tire, barrel, and caliper clean
- Iron/fallout remover on paint and glass
- Clay bar treatment to pull bonded contaminants
- Touchless rinse and filtered blow-dry
Paint Enhancement
We performed a single-stage machine polish to clear light swirls and haze that were muting the blue. This step restored crisp reflections across the hood and made the metallic pop.
Jade Ceramic Coating
With the surface perfected, we installed Jade Ceramic Coating on paint, gloss plastics, and lights. Benefits include:
